Introduction:

This program will compute the required parabolic or trapezoidal dimensions for a grassed waterway using the retardance procedure outlined in NRCS TP - 61 and the NRCS National Engineering Field Handbook. Design results for multiple reaches can be maintained in computer memory at the same time so that adjustments can be easily made to improve on the overall continuity of the design.

The printout provides the necessary design documentation including warnings when velocities get too high or too low and the number of acres that are within the flow area of the waterway.  In addition, an option is available to print out the "design template" formulae that can subsequently used in the Cross-Sections Quantities program.
